About

Welcome! I’m a self-taught artist from the foothills of the Catskills in New York. I started by throwing paint on a canvas one day and experimenting with color and texture, to watching YouTube videos and reading online on how I can improve my art. I’ve spent hundreds of hours dedicated to painting. I started off with acrylic, palette knife painting – creating these thick, sculpture-like pieces of artwork and then transitioned to more traditional styles of painting.

Today I paint mostly in watercolor and gouache, focusing on illustration and creating different characters (often mousey ones). I draw from my outdoor experiences as well as my inner child. Having majored in creative writing in college, it’s natural for me to think up of stories that inspire me to paint like the idea of a whimsical little forest creature living in a mushroom house, or an adventurous pup befriending a dragon.
